INTERNATIONAL YOUTH STEM AND EDUCATION SOCIETY
OVERVIEW OF IYSE
IYSE Society is an international student-led organization dedicated to engaging youth in meaningful discussions and providing youth with educational resources. At IYSE, we do so through the following three main programs: our magazine, public events, and youth outreach initiatives. Our magazine keeps youth informed on current events. Our public events, such as panels, presentations, and conferences feature professionals and leaders from around the world. Our youth outreach initiatives helps increase the accessibility of education to youth, especially those underprivileged.
OUR INSPIRATION
The Story
When Blanche, our founder, first participated in an online program, she received an opportunity to collaborate and communicate with youth from all around the world to solve real-world challenges. She related this experience to Ryan (Jiawei) and Jennifer. Our founders noticed that those who have had a head start in their academic careers oftentimes lived in large cities and had access to abundant resources. The founders came to realize that there was a real discrepancy in the access to youth opportunities.
The realization that one should not have to live at the heart of Silicon Valley to engage and be up-to-date with current events and breakthroughs in science and technology led to the founding of IYSE Society.
IYSE Society was created off of the belief that youth should not need to live in centers of innovation or discussion to engage in meaningful opportunities. We understand that there are plenty of incredibly talented and passionate youth that live everywhere in the world, not just within large cities, and we believe that these voices need to be heard too.
IYSE Society understands that it is impossible to build a legacy without a strong foundation. That is why we keep our story of founding and our inspirations in mind in everything that we do.

Seminars, webinars, and keynote panel to engage youth in meaningful discussions surrounding ground-breaking news and technology, and provide insight into post-secondary/career options
YOUTH OUTREACH
Virtual exchange program that gives youth the opportunity to collaborate with others to work on creative projects. Mentorship to improve the lives of underprivileged youth
